CURVED CREASED BRACELETS

Both these bracelets are formed from thin sheet aluminium marked with curved creases. The one on the right has been scored but not bent – it’s a drawn upon cylinder. All curvature goes horizontal, all straight line rulings are vertical. The one on the left has been creased. There are no flat surfaces left anywhere on it, everywhere is in one degree curvature, but the curvature is vertical and the rulings horizontal.

These were made using my curved crease bending rig. In this case, the simple geometry and symmetry means that the curvature and direction of rulings were easy to guess/enforce.
